Anyone know of scholarships for students with a deceased parent who wasn’t in the military?

I’ve applied for the LIFE Lessons scholarship and a few others related to hardships (though they weren’t specifically focused on loss). My father passed away in 2019 from heart issues. He was an HVAC technician when I was young, but had been on disability for several years before he died.

I’ve already completed the FAFSA, but I’m trying to afford my dream school since I just got accepted. If I can’t raise the money, I’ll attend a local school for almost nothing. Any suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear that. My dad passed away in 2016 from skin cancer. My counselor told me about the LIFE Lessons scholarship, but it’s mostly focused on life insurance. If you come across any others, let me know.
