I’m a high school senior planning to major in music and I’m really interested in marching band. I’ve been told that colleges offer scholarships for marching band, but I’m not sure if it’s possible to get a full ride.
Has anyone here gotten a full ride scholarship for marching band? If so, what were the requirements and how did you prepare? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
The ISU Marching Band does not offer any financial aid. Despite assistance, we are a crew that truly enjoys doing it! It has been successful for us since, despite the passing of time, interest in the band remains high, indicating that many individuals are genuinely interested in the band and not simply the perks. Everyone is obviously eager to be there, and that definitely helps with the culture.
Having said that, don’t underestimate yourself! Many individuals apply, and many of them believe they won’t be accepted. Going for it doesn’t harm at all, and even if you don’t make varsity, storm is a pretty enjoyable experience.
