Need Help with Next Steps

Hi everyone! I recently received a partial scholarship from The Coding School, even though I applied for a full scholarship. The remaining cost is $500, which is quite challenging for my family since our annual income is under $20,000.

I’m really eager to take the course and was considering reaching out to The Coding School with my 1040 form, as they didn’t ask for income information during the application process. Does anyone have advice on how to proceed?

Thanks so much for any help!

As you suggested, consider sending them an email to appeal and thoroughly explain your financial situation. If they remain adamant about requiring the payment, it might be worth reconsidering your options.

Okay, sounds good—thank you so much! I was just unsure if it might come across as ‘rude’ or unconventional to make that request.

If you have any additional documentation that could strengthen your case for a full scholarship, such as recent financial hardship or exceptional academic achievements, consider appealing the decision.

Research other scholarships or grants that might be available to you, especially those focused on technology or education.
Consider using a crowdfunding platform to raise funds for the remaining tuition.

Explore the possibility of working part-time or taking out student loans to cover the remaining costs.
