Advice on Finding Non-GPA Scholarships

Hey everyone…

So, I’ve been looking into scholarships for a while, and I noticed that a lot of them seem to focus heavily on GPA. I remember when I was applying for financial aid a few years back, I had a great experience with a non-GPA-based scholarship that really made a difference.

Now, I’m helping a friend who’s in a similar situation—lots of extracurriculars and community service but a GPA that doesn’t quite match the usual scholarship criteria.

Does anyone have any tips or know of any resources for finding scholarships that don’t rely on GPA? Any advice or personal stories would be super helpful…

To find non-academic scholarships, consult with your guidance counselor, your college’s financial aid office, local business and nonprofits, and online scholarship databases . If scholarships and federal financial aid aren’t enough to cover college costs, private student loans can help fill in the gaps.
