Anyone else worried about AI detectors for scholarships?

I’m applying for this scholarship, and they said they’re gonna use AI detectors on all the essays. If they think your essay was written by AI, they’ll throw it out. The problem is these detectors aren’t reliable. I ran my essay through a few, and the results were all over the place—15%, 0%, and 43% AI. I’m stuck here wondering what to do because I don’t want to lose my shot over something this silly.

I’d just go for it. Most essay-based scholarships are around $1,000, and I’m guessing you’re applying for more than one. I’ve sent in close to 150 apps, won a good number of them, and never once checked AI detection—even when they said they’d use it.

Totally agree, they’re so unreliable, but they still stick with them. If you’re really worried, try using a tool like NetusAI to make the essay seem more ‘human.’

Honestly, anything under 50% on those detectors usually gets marked as human-written. ZeroGPT even says that. If your worst score is 43% AI, that’s still 67% likely to be human-written. You should be fine.
