Hey everyone, me and my friends are looking at colleges and I wanted to know if there are any scholarships I can apply for on their behalf without telling them. I’d love to surprise them with some financial help for college, but honestly, I don’t have the funds to give them that kind of support myself. If I could find any scholarships, even small ones like $10, I’d love to help them out.
Getting scholarships is a competitive and planned-out process. People spend time, write essays, and go through interviews to get even small scholarships like $500 (and that’s on the low end). Anything smaller than that usually isn’t worth the effort.
That said, you could enter your friend in a few ‘scholarship sweepstakes’, but that’s kind of like buying a lottery ticket for your friend. It might work if you’re just trying to get them a small gift like $10.
Your idea is really kind and thoughtful, though. The best way you could help them out financially is by supporting their actual scholarship applications. If you find a scholarship that fits their identity or career path, you could pass it along to them.
Got it, do you know of any good websites for finding scholarships that match specific identities or career goals?

When I was looking, I found these three to be the best: Scholarships.com, Collegeboard.org, and Goingmerry.com.
