Hello, everyone! We at Avomeen, a contract research organization in Ann Arbor, MI, have two annual scholarship opportunities for undergraduates studying STEM in the US. We’re excited to share them with you all. Here’s the scoop on each scholarship:
Women in STEM ($2,500)
Minorities in STEM ($2,500)
Applications are accepted through the Avomeen website here. We’re judging based on:
A short statement (200 words or less) explaining why you chose a STEM path:
a. Women in STEM applicants should include any experiences promoting female leadership in their community or groups.
b. Minorities in STEM applicants should describe ways they have supported minority leadership.
Eligibility requirements:
a. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at a US college or university.
b. Women in STEM applicants must identify as women.
c. Minorities in STEM applicants must identify as a minority.
Applications are open every year from October 1 - April 1, with winners notified by May 1. Spread the word, and feel free to reach out for any additional information. Good luck to everyone applying!
No, unfortunately not. This scholarship is only open to those already attending a US-based college or university. If you’re a junior now, consider applying in your first year of college!

I’m trying to apply, but the form is grayed out. Any tips?
Sometimes that happens if there’s an issue with the browser or if you’re outside the application period. Try clearing your browser cache or switching browsers. If it’s still not working, let us know!

Why are these scholarships separated by gender and race? Isn’t that unfair?
Thanks for your question! These scholarships are aimed at supporting diversity in STEM by offering additional resources to underrepresented groups, which we believe can foster a more inclusive community in STEM. We appreciate your thoughts on this.
