Hey everyone, I’m a Hispanic male from Washington state, so I’m considered a Washington resident. I’m heading to Seattle Pacific University, and I’ve got most, if not all, of my tuition covered with grants and scholarships for up to four years or until I reach senior level (whichever comes first). I’m a transfer student with an associate’s degree in arts and sciences, majoring in computer science with a minor in data analytics and business.
While my tuition is taken care of, I don’t have any funds for housing, and living in a big city like Seattle will be expensive, especially since I don’t have any family nearby. My parents can’t contribute much since they’re minimum-wage workers supporting a family of six. I’m looking for any scholarships or grants specifically for housing. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it.
The Burger King Scholarship (you don’t have to work there), Elks MVS, and Lockheed Martin STEM Scholar are all options that can apply to housing or tuition. The Lockheed Martin scholarship is $10,000 per year and is renewable. I’m not sure when they open, but I know someone who won all three. Good luck—applying early and applying for scholarships as soon as possible will give you the best chances.
