Help with scholarships for low income families?

Hi everyone, I live in a city in Alberta and I’m in my final year of high school. My mom earned about $22,000 this year, and my dad earned around $28,000. Next year, I’ll be attending the University of Alberta.

I haven’t applied for any scholarships yet, but I really need one. I got the Rutherford Scholarship for Honors with Distinction, but I don’t think that’s enough to cover all four years of university.

My goal is to go to med school because I’ve always dreamed of becoming a doctor. My grades are good, so I think I can get in academically, but I’m worried about paying for it. Are there any scholarships I can still apply for now, or is it too late? Please, I really need help!

Thank you so much!

Hi! There’s a scholarship called the Ted Rogers Scholarship. It’s pretty easy to apply for, so just search for it online. If your grades are high and you qualify, you’ve got a good chance of getting it!
