I am currently in my second semester as a freshman at Gannon University. I earned a 4.0 GPA in my first semester, but since my university does not offer financial aid for international students, continuing my education here is becoming difficult. Transferring doesn’t seem like an easy option either. I’m looking for private scholarships or any programs specifically for international students. Can anyone recommend websites, apps, or organizations that could help me out?
Have you found anything? I’m also at Gannon and searching for scholarships.

No, Gannon doesn’t offer financial aid to international students. Your best bet is to check online for private scholarship websites and apply there. It’s tough because so many people are applying for scholarships these days, but it’s worth a shot.
You might want to look into scholarship databases like Fastweb or Scholarship.com. They list options for international students.

Thanks, I’ll check those out. Are there any specific scholarships you’ve heard of that are good for international students?
@Avery
Not specifically, but I’ve heard about organizations like the Fulbright Program. They might have options depending on your field of study.
You should also try checking with your home country’s embassy or consulate in the USA. They sometimes have scholarships for students studying abroad.
If transferring isn’t an option, try reaching out to local community organizations or churches in your area. They sometimes have small grants or scholarships for students in need.
It’s tough, but some scholarships specifically for international students include the Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship and Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship. Not sure if they fit your situation, but worth checking.
@Morgan
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll definitely look into these. Hopefully, something works out.
