I’m in my first year of college and, while I have some financial aid, I still need to find about $22,000 for both the spring and fall semesters. The scholarship search can be really overwhelming, especially with a deadline of December 1. Is there any software or tool that can automatically apply for scholarships or at least streamline the process? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
As a scholarship provider, I do NOT recommend using a scholarship site to apply for scholarships on your behalf. I’ve seen applications where the essays are incomplete or cut off, and you lose the opportunity to personalize your application. It’s just not worth it.
$22k in a couple of months is a tall order. One option you might consider is Going Merry. It’s available as both a website and an app, allowing you to apply for scholarship bundles all at once. It categorizes scholarships with similar themes into groups, so you can use the same materials for multiple applications. It’s as close as you’ll realistically get to automating the process.
