Is this scholarship email real or a scam?

I got an email today with this link: does anyone know if it’s legit or a scam?

I know this is legit: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/pay-for-college/bigfuture-scholarships, but I’m unsure about the following.

The email reads:

'Congratulations again!

By completing one or more career and college planning steps on BigFuture, you were entered into drawings for scholarships. You were recently selected to receive a $500 scholarship. We sent an email from BigFuture@scholarshipamerica.org notifying you of the details and the process of accepting the award.

To receive your award, you must first verify your information.

Has anyone else received something like this?

It’s legit. I know students who have won this scholarship.

Scholarship America is a legitimate organization. I’ve heard of BigFuture too, so it seems safe. If they ask for too much personal information, you can always stop the process.

Scholarship America is a well-known platform for scholarships, and many large scholarships use them. One good thing is that they save your information for future applications, which makes applying easier.
