Need help with writing ideas… any tips?

Hey everyone, can anyone help me brainstorm ideas for these topics?

  1. Write (in no more than 500 words) about a time when you promoted equality, included people who are different from you in some way, or showed respect within your community.

  2. Think of a tough situation you faced and overcame. How did you deal with it, and what did you learn from it?

  3. Share an experience, background, identity, interest, or talent that has shaped your life. How has it affected you and what have you learned about your personal growth?

Would love to hear any suggestions or tips! Thanks in advance.

For #2, you could write about something super random like learning to cook a dish you messed up the first time. It sounds simple but could catch someone’s attention.

Try taking a unique spin on these. For example, instead of a generic story like ‘coaching a team taught me leadership,’ go with something unusual or very specific from your life. Admissions people hear the same stories all the time.

Thanks, good point!

What is this for? Are you applying for a scholarship or something else?

It’s for a scholarship.

Tbh, these questions are really personal. Only you can answer them since it’s about your own experiences.

Yeah, fair point… but I’m kinda stuck with my own life right now :joy:
