Hi everyone! I’m an international student planning to apply for a Computer Engineering program in the U.S. I got a 1240 on my SAT and my high school class rank is in the 32nd percentile. Can anyone tell me what kind of merit-based scholarship I could get with my profile? Also, are there any other scholarships or financial aid options for international students that I should consider?
There’s no set amount, it really depends on how many scholarships you apply to. For example, the valedictorian at my school didn’t get as many scholarships as some others because he didn’t apply to enough.
As an international student in the U.S., you won’t qualify for federal financial aid. For academic merit scholarships, you’ll need to reach out to the university you’re applying to, since the amounts can vary. I recommend contacting a scholarship advisor at your school and asking about the scholarships available for international students.
